Plan your perfect Iceland adventure in 60 minutes

1-on-1 with a local Iceland travel expert

Being unprepared before you arrive to Iceland can cost you precious vacation time and can cause unwanted stress. You don’t want to be constantly checking Google Maps, calculating the routes, figuring out which spots to check out, back tracking and rushing from one stop to the next. You end up arriving at your accommodation exhausted. Just to repeat it the following day and the day after that. Most annoyingly, to top everything else you miss out on hidden gems in the areas that you have already been in because of lack of planning.

The big problem with traveling in Iceland is that there are too many great things to see and do here. The real challenge is to figure out which ones are worth your time, energy and effort. People often times end up squeezing too many things into their days, which can quickly become exhausting. I have made that mistake multiple times myself.

A family with young children will travel differently than adventure-seeking couple and different or a friends group traveling the Ring Road. They might all want to see some of the same places, but they shouldn’t be planning their Iceland adventures the same way.

There is no one perfect Iceland itinerary for everyone. But there is a perfect itinerary for your Iceland adventure.

You can spend hour researching online, going back and forth between Reddit, Instagram, YouTube, blogs and travel guides and still be unsure what is actually worth your time.

In 60 minutes, we will figure out excatly where to go, what to skip, how to structure your days, what to book and what to expect from your Iceland adventure.

My name is Einar Sveinn Westlund. I am Icelandic and have 11+ years of guiding all kinds of different trips in Iceland. From multiday hiking trekking to high-end driving adventures as private tours.

You don’t have to take my words for it. Read what other people have had to say about me.

In your 60-minute 1-on-1 session we will figure out

  • Where to go

    • Find the places that fit your interests and needs for the time you actually have in Iceland.

  • What to skip

    • Cut stops that aren’t worth sacrificing your precious vacation time for.

  • How to structure your days

    • Plan realistic days without unnecessary backtracking or exhausting drives.

  • What to book

    • Understand which excursions, restaurants and accommodations fit your needs and which aren’t worth your time or money.

  • What to expect

    • Understand seasonal conditions, daylight, weather, road considerations and more useful information about traveling to and in Iceland.

I have made plenty of the classic mistakes myself. Both while guiding in in my private life. Adding too many stops to a day. Realizing too late that you have to choose seeing an important place and getting your hotel on time. Misjudging what is actually possible in a particular season.

The conditions in Iceland can change dramatically through the year, even day to day and in the same day. Over time, experience teaches you what looks good on a map doesn’t always work in real life. Iceland can be highly unpredictable, and conditions can change quickly. Even with a good weather forecast, plans sometimes need to adapt.

I want you to have an incredible experience in Iceland without having to learn these lessons the time-consuming and frustrating way I did.

Also being Icelandic I can help you get in the right direction of pronouncing the places you will be exploring. No guarantees on you being able to pronounce these insanely difficult Icelandic place names.
