6 Day Laugavegur Trail Hike in Iceland

Breathtaking and amazing is the only way to describe the 6 day Laugavegur Trail Hike with Einar and Feast in the Wild. It was an incredible adventure for our family of five - our boys ages 19, 21 and 23 loved it. Einar as an Icelandic guide knew the trail so well and took us on some incredible secret side trips that others on the trail missed. Words and even photos cannot describe the journey - we crossed 4 glacier rivers, saw hidden waterfalls, canyons, geothermal hot springs and felt like we were walking on the moon. We chose camping and spent one night in a hut. My husband and I had never camped before but with Einar’s guidance became pros. Einar took care of all the details - food, transportation, transportation of our luggage between campsites and provided an extremely comprehensive list of what to bring. We each hiked with a daypack. I emailed him with endless questions before we started and no question was too trivial and he was very responsive. We had plentiful delicious food cooked by Einar in the kitchen tent (it was a Feast in the Wild!!!), and lunch we made yummy sandwiches (lots of choices of fillings). He is very accommodating with any food requests and it was no easy feat keeping three boys fed but he had plenty of food. We highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for an escape to nature and an unforgettable experience. It was a trip of a lifetime.
